Let’s Talk Routines – Night Routines

Heyya Boss Teens, so we talked about the importance of a great morning routine in our last article. Today, let’s boss on with night routines. Unlike morning routines where you can just wake up and start checking activities off your list, night routines can be a bit messy for some people, probably due to the vast difference in our sleep patterns. But don’t fret yourselves friends, we are here to assist you. 

The greatest requirement for a productive day rests on the amount of sleep you get. Yup, you heard that. Experts say that as human beings and teenagers for that matter, our body needs  7 to 8 hours of sleep. And hear this, the quality of your sleep greatly depends on your activities before bedtime. In case you still haven’t figured it out, quality sleep equals high productivity and creativity the next day. And guys, being glued to our phones on social media till sleep lulls us in is not the way. 

SCL Health reports in an article that the blue light emitted by your cell phone screen restrains the production of melatonin, the hormone that controls your sleep-wake cycle (aka circadian rhythm). This makes it even more difficult to fall asleep and wake up the next day.

It is highly recommended that we have fixed sleeping and waking times. That way, our bodies become attuned to our patterns. If you are a student, substitute the ideas in this guide to suit yourself. Same for everyone else.
