Let’s Talk Balance

Heyya boss teens. Wondering why you can’t seem to find the words to complete the lyrics of that beautiful hymn you’ve been trying to pen? Or why the dance moves you’ve been trying to master just so you could impress your buddies just isn’t giving? Here’s a good one: Have you been trying to learn for that test you’ll write the next day but the focus just isn’t there?

Well, how about you pause and take a look at your disorganized room? The room where your clothes have missed the laundry basket and wardrobe. The same room where food pieces together with the dirty bowls are lying on the floor. Yup, that room. But there’s no judgment here babes because guess what? We’ve all been there and done that!

Now here’s the interesting part. All that frustration towards your earlier lack of focus? You can make it go away by engaging in a simple activity and snatch your creativity back!

Feng Shui

The ancient Chinese call this activity Feng Shui. Sounds fancy and foreign right?  But it’s simple once you’re familiar with it. Feng Shui means “wind-water”. Chinese believe that practicing this art can create harmony between the individual and their surroundings to boost productivity and wellness. In simple terms, Feng Shui is just the practice of strategic organization of our environment.

Lay your bed, sweep the room, pack the shoes neatly on the shoe rack, wipe the dust off your furniture, pack those clothes; fold the clean ones into your closet and toss the dirty ones in the laundry basket. Do the laundry if you can. Do you know that feeling of wrapping yourself into freshly dried sheets or clothes? It’s just amazing!

You’ll find that you can concentrate more on your tasks when your surroundings are in an organized state. We have also tried it and it works so we recommend it. Go ahead and try it out bosses!
