In an Instagram post, the account, run by parents announced: “We are proud to announce that Armel has signed to Adidas.”
Armel is the younger of the brothers, both at Chelsea FC academy representing Ghana and Nigeria. He plays similarly to Tariq Lamptey who is also sponsored by Adidas. Tariq is a player he loves.
Armel is 12 and plays for Chelsea FC academy in London. He has been with Chelsea from the age of 7.
When he was 8 he was a hot property being chased by West Ham United, Tottenham FC, Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC.
He eventually chose Chelsea but towards the end of his U10 season, he suffered an injury which required surgery.
He showed the same passion he displays in his football to get back to the level he was prior to the injury.
This is a huge deal and one our community is proud of.
